NAMES/ They received 11 thousand pounds each to bring immigrants into England by truck, three Albanians are sentenced to 15 years in prison

An Albanian criminal gang based in London used M25 stations to transport Albanian immigrants who were illegally entering the United Kingdom.
According to British police, three members of the group, identified as Toni Liko, 42, Klement Gjika, 44, and Stelian Bodnariu, 37, who were demanding 11,000 pounds each, have been sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison.
Toni Liko and Klement Gjika were sentenced to five years and eight months in prison, while
Stelian Bodnariu was sentenced to three years and four months.
Investigators discovered that during the gang's 18 months of operation they had sent up to 20 Albanian nationals to London, but the real figure is believed to be much higher.
Police said that to catch the group, officers followed vehicles, analyzed service station CCTV and used surveillance to identify the gang leaders.
The trio of Albanians were arrested on June 18 last year and their phones were searched for messages indicating coordination between smugglers and truck drivers.
Inspector Stuart Jack, who led the investigation, said the gang had only one motive: to make money. He added that migrants who are trafficked are often further exploited when they arrive in the UK or forced to work for criminal networks.
"I appeal to truck drivers to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. This is not a victimless crime," said Jack.
