The Saranda Court has remanded in prison two women who were arrested by the police for exploiting a minor girl for prostitution.
It is learned that the court has ordered "prison arrest" for 42-year-old Silvana Osmani and 39-year-old Luljeta Doda.
The prosecutor in the case, Besjana Sadikaj, has requested "Arrest in prison" as a measure. Judge Fatmir Ndreu has also requested this measure, while calling their detention lawful.
At the end of the session that lasted about 3 hours, defense attorneys Armand Çaushi and Brigels Dervishi said that the arrest in flagrante delicto was deemed legal and the measure was "Arrest in prison", because this is an issue that has complications and there are minor victims.
"It is a security measure that is based on suspicion. I cannot speak about the others at this stage," said lawyer Çaushi.
"Today was the hearing to assess whether the arrest of the suspects was lawful or unlawful. We are actually familiar with the details of the file but we cannot provide details at this stage. We categorically denied the case for the clients but the court decided as a measure "Arrest in prison". Now we have the right to appeal", said another lawyer Dervishi.
