The Lezha court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for a father and son who were arrested three days ago in Lezha, after cultivating narcotics inside a three-story building. For the OSHEE employee, arrested as an accomplice, the court imposed a milder security measure, leaving him under house arrest.
Father and son, Arben Gjergji, 57 years old, and Arnold Gjergji, 22 years old, remain in prison, while Gjon Doda, 59 years old, a duty employee of OSHEE, is under house arrest.
The police discovered the environment where drugs were cultivated on the Lezhë-Milot axis. In the two-story building, which the father and son had rented, they had adapted 4 environments for the cultivation of cannabis. 4 other OSHEE employees were also placed under investigation for abuse of office.
The police managed to seize 8.8 kg of dried cannabis, 960 cannabis seedlings and 850 cannabis seeds, 106 light bulbs, 180 grams of cocaine. 5 firearms, 2 of which were sports, 1 vehicle and 4 mobile phones were also seized.
"During the operation, the Police services conducted a search of the 3-story building and found that on the second floor of this building, 4 rooms had been set up for the cultivation of narcotic plants, with lamps, and for drying them, with the aim of preparing them for sale. The verifications showed that there was an illegal electricity connection in this building, " the police statement said.
