"Fast & Furious" in Elbasan, three drug traffickers arrested, one policeman injured

An anti-drug operation was conducted in the city of Elbasan, during which 3 drug traffickers were arrested and a quantity of narcotics was seized.

According to preliminary reports, the 3 people were arrested while attempting to leave the city by car, while at least 45 kilograms of cannabis sativa, weapons, combat ammunition, a considerable amount of money, as well as several mobile phones with Albanian and foreign SIM cards were found and seized in their vehicle.

It is learned that when the driver of the vehicle realized he was being followed by law enforcement, he attempted to speed away, entering an unlit street in a suburban neighborhood.

So far, the identities of the arrested have not been made public, while it is learned that a police officer was injured during the operation, after being damaged by the breaking of a mosque, but is reported to be out of danger.

Investigations continue to document the criminal activity of the group, which is suspected of having been operating for a long time in several regions of the country.
