The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Bekir Bozdağ, was forced to suspend the session due to the chaos, foreign media wrote, according to Telegrafi.
During the incident, CHP deputy Mahmut Tanal was injured in the nose and was taken to Parliament Hospital.
The CHP opposed Gürlek's appointment, raising doubts about the procedure and his status as a former chief prosecutor.
