The law on the revaluation of assets and the sale of houses enters into force,

From January 1, 2026, all those citizens who want to enter the market for buying and selling their properties will be satisfied with the entry into force of the fiscal package due to the new changes.

Thus, according to specialists, the last two months of 2025 saw a stagnation of notary offices, which did not have any sales procedures for apartments, even though it was a time when the flow of immigrants increased.

The reason is simple: as of January 1, 2026, a revaluation of housing can be carried out and the tax will be reduced from the previous 15 percent to 5 percent.

This gives the opportunity to all those who wanted to sell their apartments to begin the procedure of revaluation of their homes to benefit from the 5 percent tax.

But the government also benefits from this process with its own policies, as year after year, it has increased this threshold set by itself. If previously this revaluation process was 2 or 3 percent, this year it has gone up to 5 percent, but that is still a great help for all those in the real estate trade to benefit from the process.
