"They are toxic"/ Expert lists health risks from pesticides in strawberries

Expert Abdyl Sinani said that the pesticide found in strawberries imported from Greece is very dangerous to our health.
He listed the negative effects of consuming strawberries found with this pesticide, saying that it consists of toxic substances and can have consequences for women's fertility and even cause cancer.
"These substances are toxic and poison the body, therefore they are very harmful to health. They create problems for hormones, problems with women's fertility, and if consumed for a certain period, they can affect the cause of cancer. They affect the nervous system gradually, starting with dizziness, headaches and weakening of the body, but this depends on how much we consume," expert Sinani told Euronews Albania.
We recall that three shipments of strawberries coming from Greece have been found to be contaminated with pesticides dangerous to consumer health, becoming the subject of an investigation by the European Commission (RASFF).
According to published data, one of the shipments entered Albania on April 1 and resulted in residues of the pesticide Clofentezine, a substance used to combat spider mites on plants.
This substance is banned in some countries due to its high toxicity.
