Who is the Albanian Armando Pacani, arrested in Dubai for cocaine trafficking from Brazil?

The Albanian Armando Pacani, arrested on July 29 in Dubai, as the head of a criminal group of drug trafficking from Brazil to Europe, but informed by Interpol only in the last days, was hiding in what is called the "paradise of criminals ” in the United Arab Emirates disguised as a businessman, CEO of a metal company, when in fact he was negotiating for the trafficking of tons of drugs.
The 40-year-old originally from Tirana is married to a German woman and has lived in Brazil for a long time. From the investigations there it turns out that he trafficked 17 tons of drugs, worth 3.8 billion dollars, he was considered one of the biggest sellers of cocaine in Europe. Drugs were hidden in legal cargo containers, without the knowledge of the owners of the goods, or left on fishing vessels.
One of the shipments that was seized by the French navy near Sierra Leone in November 2022 contained 4.6 tons of cocaine, in about 100 suitcases. Pacani was the head of everything, from purchasing, storage, shipping to the port, to the final destination on the old continent. From the breakdowns of the "SkyECC" application, it was known by the nicknames "Albanês" which means "Albanian", "Forbes" and "Globe". The glory of his actions was interrupted when he was put on the wanted list during the "Hinterland" operation, in March 2023. The organization trafficked cocaine stretching from Brazil to Dubai.
The investigation that led to Operation Hinterland began in March 2021, after a seizure of 316 kg of cocaine in Hamburg, Germany. After the drug seizure, a Paraguayan supplier was identified who was receiving cocaine produced in Bolivia and other countries and entering Brazil through Ponta Porã. The drugs were then transported by truck to Santa Catarina and Río Grande do Sul, where the cargoes were stored in the criminal organization's companies near the ports of Río Grande and Itajaí.
From there the cargoes were contaminated into legitimate shipments, in cooperation with logistics managers, to be sent to the European continent. Meanwhile, in Europe, the Albanian Pacani was responsible for the distribution in different countries of the region.
