La Sapienza honors Ilaria Sula, the hall of the largest university in Rome is named after the Albanian student

Ilaria Sula was killed by her ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, who stabbed her three times in his home, after the 22-year-old Albanian asked him to end their relationship.
Rome's largest university, La Sapienza, where Ilaria studied statistical sciences, has chosen to honor the Albanian student, who was a victim of femicide in Italy.
In a ceremony held on the university premises, it was decided that one of the halls of La Sapienza would be named after Ilaria Sula.
"The new study spaces within the New University Theater Building are dedicated to Ilaria Sula. On the occasion of the 722nd anniversary of the founding of Studium Urbis, three new spaces with a total of 260 new study places for the student community were inaugurated today: the new joint Jurisprudence Library, the Montessori Room in the Mineralogy Building and the Ilaria Sula Study Spaces, in which a commemorative plaque recalls: 'Ilaria, student of Sapienza, so as not to forget all the women victims of femicide, who were deprived of the opportunity to write their future' ," the university's post read.
Part of this ceremony were Ilaria's parents and brother, who have been mourning the loss of their daughter for days.
Ilaria was murdered on March 26 by her ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, who stabbed her three times, stuffed her body into a suitcase and dumped it in a wooded area outside Rome. She had been missing for days, until the 23-year-old, originally from the Philippines, told the police the truth.
