"Big Brother" player Donald Veshaj with 33-story tower in Vlora. Permission in Edi Rama's office

Prime Minister Edi Rama, as well as his "political sucker", the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, have shown themselves to be "masters" of manipulating public figures and artists. A surreal and ugly scene was confirmed this Friday, in the administrative courtroom, where the well-known actor Robert Ndrenika invited Veliaj to act out the prison days of the mayor accused of corruption.
Other artists and public figures have become attached to people in power, some by declaring themselves "strategic investors," like cabaret actor Gazmend Paja, others by obtaining building permits or other privileges.
Donald Veshaj is among the public figures who are benefiting from the Prime Minister's signatures. Having become famous on the television program "Big Brother" and his attempts to become a producer, he has now entered the construction field.
In March 2024, Donald Veshaj and Glenis Çobo founded the company "DGC" shpk, with the object of activity " Activities in the field of construction and investments in construction, etc... ".
In December 2024, the company "Anchor Investment" owned by Albi Shyti, purchased 50 percent of the shares of "DGC" shpk, for a value of 5 thousand euros.
The three partners are applying for a 33-story tower in the center of Vlora.
At the moment, it is unclear whether the National Council of Territories (NKT), under the leadership of Edi Rama, has approved this permit.
The consideration of this request was part of the KKT Agenda of April 29, 2026.
In the documents consulted by " Boldnews.al ", it appears that in point 50: " Development Permit for the facility: "Residential and hotel building with 33 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground", located in the Municipality of Vlora, with the developer company "DGC" sh.pk ".
To understand whether Rama has approved the permission of Donald Veshaj and his partners, we must wait a few weeks before the Territorial Development Agency (TDA) reveals the decisions approved at the meeting in late April 2026.
It is also still too early to provide details on the project, location and construction time. What is apparent at the moment is that the application is for a 33-storey tower in the coastal city./ Boldnews.al
