Yesterday's DP rally/ 7 protesters, including a deputy, are being prosecuted

Following the DP protest yesterday, 7 people were criminally prosecuted.

Tirana Police, immediately after the end of the rally organized by the political entity Democratic Party on the evening of 08.05.2026, on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, where during the rally several people threw fuel (Molotov cocktails), pyrotechnics, opposed and hit Police officers with hard objects and as a result 3 police officers were injured, criminally prosecuted 7 citizens.

Of these: 6 for the criminal offenses of "Opposing a public order officer", "Strike in the course of duty" and "Disturbance of public order and peace", and one citizen (MP) for the criminal offense of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations".

During the operations, police seized 1 Molotov cocktail, pyrotechnics, and hard objects.
