Vehicle catches fire on Korça-Ersekë road, passengers escape unharmed

A vehicle was engulfed in flames this afternoon on the Korça-Ersekë road, near Qafë e Qarrit.

According to preliminary information, it is a "Benz" type vehicle, which was engulfed in fire while it was moving. The circumstances of the incident still remain unclear.

Fortunately, the people traveling in the vehicle managed to get out in time without sustaining any injuries. The fire service intervened at the scene, which made it possible to neutralize the flames.

It is initially suspected that the cause of the fire was a technical defect in the vehicle, also favored by high temperatures. Meanwhile, authorities are working to fully clarify the causes of the incident.
