PROFILE/ To shine like Shkëlqim Hajdari, after resignation!

It is rare that two resignations prove someone else's brilliance in a career. Shkëlqim Hajdari's character is perhaps best fulfilled by resignation, or rather, the decision to leave at the right time. It is the missing culture of resignation, so much needed within fragile democratic institutions, that we need.
You can leave without leaving a trace, far from being dignified at work. Sooner or later, it is said that time gives justice to those who have been right.
Shkëlqim Hajdari's second resignation was not like the first. Although it came unexpectedly, there was no institutional or political clash. And while scandals accompany other institutions, the institution that Shkëlqim Hajdari led was never discussed for any problem. On the contrary, Hajdari left behind an institution that has been evaluated according to EU standards.
Shkëlqim Hajdari resigned as Chief Inspector General, a position he assumed in 2016, just one day after describing some of the achievements of the institution he led over a decade.
In a reaction made on social networks before leaving, Hajdari said that in these years of work, he is happy that the legal reform in the field of inspections has been finalized.
While thanking all the staff and other institutions involved in this reform, which he described as visionary according to the best inspection standards in the EU, Shkëlqim Hajdari presented the concrete results, warning potential abusers that illegality, corruption, subjectivism and unfair burden on honest business will end!
Shkëlqim Hajdari's second resignation is very different from the first. Except that the brilliance behind it remains the same. In his first resignation, he decided to boldly leave the first profession to which he had invested his entire life. After a professional career of nearly two decades, when the Justice Reform began to lay the foundations, the former Attorney General, Adriatik Llalla, transferred Hajdari from head of the Appeals Prosecution Office to a simple prosecutor in Shkodra.
He resigned with the claim that the situation of the prosecution body had become alarming, for a democratic state, where appointments and dismissals were made in violation of the law and in favor of incompetent persons.
The Justice Reform confirmed what Shkëlqim Hajdari claimed, while the former prosecutor with whom he clashed is today wanted by the judiciary.
In addition to his professional commitment and achievements, father of three children, husband and devoted family man Shkëlqim Hajdari, for everything he has given, enjoys a wide reputation and respect in the community. His valuable contribution is known not only to the "Tirana" people but also in the Albanian territories.
Currently Chairman of the Assembly of the "Tirana" Association, he passionately follows not only the cultural development of the capital, but also national issues everywhere, in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro or the Diaspora.
Without compromise towards evil, always on the same journey without deviation from the right path that he has chosen to follow with the people, for the people, they give the profile that he has built and the career that Shkëlqim Hajdari has left behind a well-deserved shine. In short, to shine after resignations like Shkëlqim Hajdari is a rare thing./ MAPO
