The acting President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, exercised her right to vote at the voting center located at the "Meto Bajraktari" school in Pristina.

After the vote, Haxhiu called on citizens to participate in the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement for strengthening democracy in the country.

She underlined that a high turnout in the elections is an indicator of Kosovo's democratic health and invited citizens to spend this day with calm, mutual respect and civic responsibility.

Kosovo is holding parliamentary elections today for a new parliament, in a process that comes after a long period of political deadlock. These are the third parliamentary elections in 16 months, following the votes held on February 9 and December 28, 2025.

The country's return to the ballot boxes came as a result of the inability of political forces to reach an agreement on electing a president and overcoming the institutional deadlock.
