Murder of Albanian student, Rome mayor reacts

"We can't explain it. Why did he do it? We don't understand why he did it, only he knows." So says Leon, Ilaria Sula's younger brother, who has arrived in the capital with some relatives. "I spoke to Ilaria the last time two weeks ago, because she came to visit us in Terni," he recalls.
"She was quiet and didn't tell me about her problems. Then only messages, but I'm not sure she wrote them ." As for the arrested man, he says: "I knew her, they were together for a year but they broke up."

"Ilaria has always acted for peace and harmony between people. To think that she disappeared in such a tragic way is a deep pain ." This is what Enrico says about the student stabbed to death in Rome, a friend from Terni, who attended primary school with her and kept in touch afterwards.
"I know she went to high school with Angeloni, because I went to school across the street and we met often," he told ANSA. " I remember a girl who was always quiet, never out of place, sometimes even shy. She didn't like to show off, much less fight or argue. In fact, often and willingly when we faced each other, she preferred to put her thoughts aside just to avoid any tension."

Tonight at 18:30, a moment of silence and the laying of a flower in memory of Ilaria Sula, the student of Albanian origin from Terni, who attended the three-year course at the University of Rome, will be held in front of the Faculty of Statistics. The rector Antonella Polimeni will also be present, along with all those who wish to participate.
