The murder of Vladimir Topjana by his compatriot, the dynamics of crime in Italy

On the evening of Sunday, April 6, a 43-year-old Albanian, Vladimir Topjana, was killed on the street in Fontanafredda, province of Pordenone, after a violent conflict.

The attacker, a 30-year-old Albanian, shot Topjana three times with a firearm, killing him in front of his brother-in-law.

Immediately after the crime, the killer fled in a white Audi car, which was searched all night in the Pordenone area. The car was stopped in Orsago, in the province of Treviso, where the suspect was arrested along with his father who was accompanying him.

According to initial reconstructions, the argument between Topjana and the perpetrator began in a bar on via Buonarroti, during the broadcast of a football match. After a heated argument, Topjana allegedly bit the attacker's father, severing his ear. This gesture triggered the violence! The 30-year-old pulled out his gun and shot the 43-year-old twice, one of which hit him in the head, causing his instant death.

Witnesses, including several bar patrons, were crucial to the investigation. Forensic investigators thoroughly searched the crime scene, finding one of the bullet casings fired by the killer. Despite the suspect's escape, authorities were able to track him down and arrest him after an intensive search. The motive for the murder is still being determined, but a violent argument appears to have triggered the fatal act.
