New EU Ambassador begins mission in Tirana, 1-hour meeting with Rama at the Prime Minister's Office

The new European Union Ambassador to Albania, Sofia Moreira de Sousa, went to the Prime Minister's Office this morning, where she is holding a meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
This is the first meeting between Rama and the new EU ambassador, just a few days after taking office and presenting her credentials to President Bajram Begaj. The meeting began about an hour ago.
According to reports, the Rama-Moreira de Sousa meeting is expected to discuss Albania's integration process into the European Union and the progress of reforms within this process.
The focus is also expected to be on the approach that the new EU ambassador will follow during her mandate, succeeding Silvio Gonzato in this position.
Moreira de Sousa spent about 1 hour in the meeting with the head of government and then left.
