Ervin Mata has been arrested in Brazil, while Albanian authorities have immediately initiated procedures for his return to the country.
According to journalist Klodiana Lala, SPAK has confirmed that it has filed a request for Mata's extradition to Albania.
Mata, otherwise known as the "cocaine king", is accused of involvement in drug trafficking and participation in a structured criminal group. He is also suspected of being involved in the serious incident known as the massacre in the former Blloku area of Tirana, which took place several years ago in a nightclub.
