Kosovo, voting begins in the Assembly for the two Vetëvendosje candidacies for president, the opposition boycotts the session

After reviewing the documentation of the two presidential candidates in the Legislation Committee, it was determined that they could be put to the vote.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, announced the start of voting for the two candidates for president of Kosovo: Feride Rushiti and Hatixhe Hoxha.

Voting for president is by secret ballot.

In the first and second rounds, two-thirds of the votes are required, while in the third round, 61 votes are required for the president.

If they do not receive the necessary votes, the Assembly is dissolved and the country goes to elections.

However, only the members of the parliamentary majority are present in the hall, and those of the opposition are boycotting the proceedings.
