Greenland Debate/ Kaja Kallas: US Tariffs Divide Allies and Strengthen China and Russia

The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, has said that the tariffs announced by the United States against European allies threaten economic prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic.

In a reaction on Platform X, Kallas stressed that tensions between allies only serve third powers, noting that China and Russia are the main beneficiaries of divisions in the Western camp.

Her statement came in response to US President Donald Trump's announcement to impose tariffs on countries that resist his demand to buy Greenland, a development that has caused great concern in European circles.
