Attacks in the Middle East continue even after the ceasefire, Qatar is targeted by Iranian missiles

Qatar was targeted by ballistic missiles and drones launched by Iran today, Qatar's defense ministry said.

Its armed forces successfully stopped the attacks, the ministry added.

The report comes after Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain reported new Iranian missile and drone attacks earlier, after the two-week ceasefire was supposed to take effect.

Kuwait's Interior Ministry said "serious material damage" had been caused to several facilities of the state-owned oil company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, as well as the ministry of energy and water resources, following Iranian attacks.

Fires broke out at some of the affected sites, which included oil facilities, power plants and water desalination plants, she said.
