Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has said that Serbia will never support the arrest of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Radovan Višković and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić.
Vučić said that Serbia will always be committed to preserving peace and respecting the Peace Agreement and that it will stand by Republika Srpska and its leadership. Vučić further said that the pressures on Republika Srpska and Serbia are increasing, and that at these moments the most important thing is to preserve unity and fight for the future.
" The arrest warrant coming from Sarajevo is not a contribution to peace. On the contrary, it leads to destabilization, the breakdown of mutual relations and the creation of chaos in the region. In the 21st century, there is no place in the world where heads of entities, prime ministers and speakers of parliaments are arrested for political disagreements and spoken words."
"This is not a lack of democracy, it is an open dictatorship, which is unfortunately supported by some international representatives. We will defend freedom, we will respect international law, the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of Serbia. But those who think they will divide and destroy Serbia are seriously mistaken," Vučić said.
