Cocaine trafficking network busted in Spain, 30 arrested

Cocaine trafficking network in Spain is being hit. Spanish police have arrested 30 people and seized 2.5 million pounds of cocaine. The criminal group was importing large quantities of drugs into Spain and Colombia, using groups of young swimmers to transport the cargo on moving ships.
The investigation began in October 2024, when police found 88kg of cocaine in a vehicle in the southern Spanish town of Mijas.
This action led authorities to uncover three criminal groups, including a Balkan cartel, who were working together to transport large quantities of cocaine from Colombia to Spain.
Spanish authorities have continued their investigations as authorities believe the network had the potential to traffic even larger quantities of drugs into the European market.
