Hungary makes the decision! Magyar reports: No prime minister will stay in office for more than 2 terms
Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar has announced the decision approved by Parliament, according to which a prime minister will not be able to remain in office for more than two terms, or a total of eight years.
The change aims to establish a clear time limit for the exercise of the highest executive position in the country, with the argument that political rotation and term limits strengthen democracy and state institutions.
The decision was approved by Parliament the day before and represents a significant change in the rules related to the running of the Hungarian government.
This afternoon, Parliament will vote on limiting the Hungarian Prime Minister's term in office to a maximum of eight years, and we will also discuss the migrant camp planned by @PM_ViktorOrban . https://t.co/Hjao5HKkde
