Footage of the tragic accident in Ksamil where a jet car collided with a Border Police boat has been released. Unfortunately, this collision resulted in the death of 22-year-old Albiano Kreçi, while two other people were injured.
As can be seen in the video below, the "jet car" vehicle, which was traveling at high speed, crashed into the authorities' speedboat. Unfortunately, 22-year-old Albiano Kreçi lost his life, while two other people were injured.
The incident was recorded at around 18:30 in the maritime space of Ksamil, where Kreçi was sailing in a "jet car" type vehicle, when he collided with a Saranda Border Police boat, which was on duty and monitoring the maritime space, about 400 meters from the coast.
Unfortunately, this collision proved fatal for the young man. It was the police officers and other people who were near the scene who intervened to pull the 22-year-old from the sea.
He was immediately rushed to the Saranda hospital, but unfortunately did not survive the injuries sustained in the collision.
"Around 18:30, in Ksamil, citizen AK, about 22 years old, resident of Ksamil, while sailing at sea on a jet ski type watercraft (floating car), it is suspected that, as a result of sailing at speed, he collided with the Border Police boat, which was stationed (stopped) about 400 meters from the coast, monitoring the maritime space.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the vessel was injured, who was immediately pulled from the sea by police officers and other vessel drivers in the area, and was urgently transported to the hospital, but, as a result of the injuries sustained, he lost his life," the Police announced earlier.
The news of his passing has brought pain and sadness to Ksamil, where Albiano was known as a young man, born and raised in this city, leaving behind grief for his family, friends and all those who knew him.
Meanwhile, after the event, a special investigative group has been established and, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, all procedural actions are being carried out to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of this tragic accident.
