Greek media: Turks buy properties in Thrace and islands, they are colonizing us

Greek media write that the Turks are colonizing Thrace and the islands, through the purchase of real estate.
Excerpt from the Protothema article:
Properties with a sale price of 5,000 to 20,000 euros are passing en masse into Turkish, Bulgarian and foreign hands in border areas and protected areas, as the legislative vacuum that emerged after 2011 whetted the appetite for the accumulation of Greek property by foreigners.
Muslims who seemed to be buying houses in Northern Evros, companies with Bulgarian and Turkish interests, as well as European passport holders, most of whom are of Turkish origin, are buying land and apartments mainly in border villages, while local authorities are sounding the alarm about an imminent "silent colonization" in areas of vital interest, which are gradually being deserted by elements of vital interest.
Aggressive property acquisitions are also observed through the "back doors" left by the current institutional framework of legal transactions, a fact that has also prompted the involvement of the competent services of the Hellenic Police Service.
The strict regime changes by the PASOK government in 2011 allow the sale of real estate in border or protected areas to legal entities with the sole condition of control of the headquarters of the companies and not control of the citizenship or nationality of the natural persons controlling them.
In Xylagani, Rhodope Mountains, 14 houses have been sold at prices of 12,000-15,000 euros.
In this way, companies based in an EU country can purchase real estate on the islands of the Eastern Aegean or near the land borders of Evros even if they belong to third-country nationals, such as Turkey.
