
WHO appeals for help: $8 million needed for earthquake medical services in Myanmar! Thousands of people are at risk

The WHO has appealed for help regarding the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar a few days ago, killing around 1,700 people and injuring 3,400 others.
In an official response, the WHO says that $8 million in aid needs to be urgently raised for the people of Myanmar.
The UN agency says it is responding at the "highest level of emergency activation" and donations are needed to "provide trauma care, prevent disease outbreaks and restore essential health services over the next 30 days."
According to the WHO, thousands of people are at risk of injury and illness.
