Zelensky: Ukraine does not back down on Donbass, it is not fair for Trump to pressure us and not Russia!

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared that the Ukrainian people will not accept a peace agreement to abandon Donbass and hand it over to Russia.

It also emphasizes that it is not right for Trump to pressure Ukraine and Russia!

The statements come as fresh negotiations were underway in Geneva. Ukrainian and Russian negotiators were holding a third round of direct talks in Geneva, with the main point of disagreement being control of Donbas, about 10 percent of which remains under Ukrainian control.

Zelensky also said that US mediators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have expressed that Russia sincerely wants to end the war and that he should coordinate with his negotiating team based on that assessment.

However, he warned that no efforts should be made to impose on him a version of peace that his citizens would perceive as a "failed story."
