Socialist Party MP, Vullnet Sinaj, has come out against the proposal for the merger of the Municipality of Selenica with the Municipality of Vlora as part of the new administrative-territorial reform.
In a reaction on Facebook, Sinaj argues that Selenica meets the criteria to continue functioning as a municipality in its own right, referring to the indicators of functionality and economic performance presented in the "Reforma" report.
Administrative-Territorial 2.0"
The socialist MP emphasizes that the problem does not lie in the number of municipalities, but in the insufficient financing of local government and the division of the budget between the central government and the municipalities. He also underlines that Selenica contributes significantly to the national economy through mineral resources and oil production, while demanding that the Parliament take into account the interests of the citizens and let Selenica remain a separate municipality.
Socialist MP Vullnet Sinaj is the first from the ranks of the Party
Socialist who publicly opposes one of the scenarios of the Administrative-Territorial Reform, opposing the merger of the Municipality of Selenica with that of Vlora.
