It is frightening how Albania has become the private property of a handful of people, and "Albanian Files" documents this. In the name of development, every inch of land is being taken from future generations and is being passed on to the 7-8 families that own the oligopolies in the country, and now they will bequeath Albania to their children... all of it, its best with its coasts, mountains, hills and fields will be for the children of Edi Rama and his 7-8 oligarchs. In the name of the aesthetics of prestigious architectural studios, every square meter in protected areas is being seized and the personal estate of the children of the oligarchy and Edi Rama is being built!
There is (only) one type of socialism that does not distribute wealth, but concentrates it. That does not give the state power to serve the citizen, but uses the state as a tool to serve the oligarchy and its power.
Edi Rama embodies precisely this version of the socialist:
The politician who uses socialism as a personal economic kingdom, where the main function and purpose is to decide who gets rich and who doesn't, who gets the land and who is left without prospects. This is Edi Rama and the book "Albania Files" is the most transparent document of his bloodthirsty greed for wealth, of his Hoxhaist gluttony, to be the dictator of the Albanian economy!
"The Albanian Files" is the 750-page document of this kingdom.
It is a book published by Lars Müller Publishers, with a foreword signed by Edi Rama, the prime minister himself. Today Rama is saying that it is not his book, that he has only given “a contribution with a foreword text”. This lie can be dismantled word for word, but before we do, we need to understand what the book shows.
“The Albanian Files” is not an architecture book. It is an atlas of the plunder of Albania, its lands, and the future of Albanians!
Albania does not belong to those who have Albanian nationality, but to those who own the lands, coast, mountains and resources of Albania!
The others are their scaffolders who suffer along with Albania!
The real Albania is the economic, territorial, coastal one and it does not belong to 2.8 million Albanians. It belongs to a handful of families and companies that own the oligopolies of the economy. They are the ones who own the beaches, the mountains, the rivers, the mines. They are the ones who set the prices, who seize public contracts and construction permits. They are the ones for whom laws are changed, for and not against them.
Albanian Files does not align with honest and talented entrepreneurship and the free market, nor with market supply and demand, but with the money of drug trafficking and government corruption as in the case of Shtufi and Kollçek, which are converted into concrete as they destroy the economy, nature and prospects of this country!
What is “The Albanian Files”?
Studio arkitekturore nga e gjithë bota, mes tyre fitues të çmimit Pritzker, Nobel-it të arkitekturës: Álvaro Siza, RCR Arquitectes, Elemental i Alejandro Aravena-s, Herzog & de Meuron, janë Fasada pefekte për të mbuluar dhe manipuluar një vjedhje historike me një arkitekt të vetëm: Edi Ramën!
Rama i ka ftuar personalisht. Álvaro Siza e shkruan në libër fjalë për fjalë: “Following a recommendation by Camilo Rebelo, I was introduced to the prime minister, Edi Rama. I was later invited to study the master plan for a section of Albania’s beautiful Adriatic coastline.”
Bregdeti Adriatik i Shqipërisë territor shtetëror dhe kujdes: Jo qeveritar por i shtetasve shqiptarë, pronë e qytetarëve u propozua si “masterplan” nga Rama personalisht te një arkitekt i huaj. Dhe pastaj sot Rama thotë se nuk e njeh librin.
Por përveç kësaj, nga Shën Gjini në Sarandë, është vendosur që të ndërtohen rreth mijëra deri në miliona metër katrorë ndërtime për vetëm pak njerëz.
Kush janë disa nga Projektet dhe numrat që libri Nuk Mund t’i Fshehë?
Kur lexohen tabelat e projekteve, dalin shifrat. Jo interpretime, shifra të shkruara nga vetë arkitektët:
1. Aires Mateus e Associados (Lisbonë): 9 projekte bregdetare me sipërfaqe totale 304,500 m² ndërtim dhe beton!
2. Vetëm Karpen Marina një projekt i vetëm është 120,000 m², e barabartë me një lagje urbane të tërë.
3. Vlora, Durrësi, Saranda, Radhima, Ksamili, Shëngjini, e gjithë vija bregdetare nga veriu në jug është e mbuluara nga kjo studio e vetme. Zhvilluesit: Millennium Group dhe Autokton Konstruksion. Vetë këto dy kompani të lidhura me Edi Ramën që prej kohës që ai ishte kryetar Bashkie përftojnë qindra mijëra m2!
4. MVRDV (Rotterdam): 6 projekte vetëm në Tiranë dhe Sarandë, 156,500 m² totale.
5. “The Tailor of Tirana” ka 47,000 m² — një kompleks rezidencial privat i barabartë me një lagje.
6. “Berdenesh Hills” në Sarandë 26,000 m², nën ndërtim. Zhvilluesit: Texas Development,
7. BIG Bjarke Ingels Group (Kopenhagen): Barcelona Tower 190 metra lartësi, 33,000 m², kulla rezidenciale mbi Sheshin Skënderbej. Zhvillues : Kastrati Group
8. Red Sol Resort Dhërmit me 10,000 m² kompleks vilash dhe apartamentesh privat mbi shkëmbin e Rivierës, tipologji “fortress-kasbah” që mbyll aksesin ndaj detit të pulikut.
9. Archi-Tectonics : Festival City në Tiranë me 140,000 m² masterplan, me kërkesë minimale 12 kate ndërtimi. Qytet brenda qytetit të betonozuar të Tiranës!
10. MCA Mario Cucinella Architects: UMEA — masterplan bregdetar pranë grykës së Vjosës dhe aeroportit të ri të Vlorës mbi 650 hektarë territor. 6.5 milion m² sipërfaqe toke “leisure, hospitality and living” me qëllim shndërrimin e tij në “destinacion turistik gjatë gjithë vitit.” Pra 6.5 milion m2 resorte në duar të Balfin dhe shtufëve të tij!
Only these 5 studios out of 58, document projects with a total area of over 647,750 m² of designed construction, plus 650 hectares of territory. This is just the tip of the iceberg as 53 other studios do not have readable m² tables.
Protected Areas: Coast, Vjosa, Butrint, Divjaka
The book documents the presence of projects in areas protected by law or European conventions:
1. Ionian Riviera: BIG builds Red Sol Resort in Dhërmi — 10,000 m² of private villas and apartments on a mountain cliff.
2. Elemental (Pritzker) has Dhërmi Resort and Green Valle private complexes camouflaged in mountain vegetation.
3. EAA Emre Arolat Architecture has the coastal project “Lura 5, Lalëzit Bay” and the architect himself writes with shocking honesty: “I went to visit Lalëzit and was amazed by nature, but unfortunately the construction had destroyed it, but the government told me not to worry because we will build Lura5 according to your vision.”
4. Vjosa: Studio Gang (Chicago) has a project for a bridge over the Vjosa with an integrated spa. The Vjosa is an internationally protected river, proposed as a national park. The bridge with a spa is not infrastructure, it is the touristification of an intact ecosystem.
5. Butrint: Herzog & de Meuron, one of the most famous studios in the world, is building a visitor center. But equally real is the presence of the American Bank of Investment with the "Art Garden Petrela" and Herzog & de Meuron, a private project under construction.
6. Divjaka: Anupama Kundoo Architects has an urban project on the Karavasta Lagoon and the Divjaka National Park, a Natura 2000 area, home to the Dalmatian pelican. The book page shows an urban master plan over 35 km of lagoon territory.
What This “Vision” Really Is
Edi Rama has played the role of the narcissistic and self-absorbed king of the economy. Not as a state that distributes welfare, but as a private monarchy that decides who enters Albania’s property class and who remains outside. He has imported 58 international architectural studios not to build schools, hospitals, public infrastructure, but as a cultural facade for the transfer of public and coastal land to the oligarchy. Bjarke Ingels’ name on the “Barcelona Tower” legitimizes the densification of Tirana with a 190-meter private tower. Álvaro Siza’s name on the coastal master plan legitimizes the privatization of the Adriatic.
This is diabolical greed dressed up as "vision."
Last month's protest wasn't just against Edi Rama personally. It was against the economic system that he and Berisha have built together for 35 years, a system where Albania does not belong to those with Albanian blood, but to those who own the land, the economy, the beaches, the mountains and the rivers.
"The Albanian Files" is documented evidence that after the private state of Enver Hoxha and the Albanian People's Party, we return to the private state of Edi Rama and his oligarchs.
