"We are not all the same"/ Vendim Demaj: Forced reaction to MP Jorida

Even though I'm guided by the principle that I don't easily respond to people I've supported, when it comes to the #truth, I'm no exception, not even to parents.

I have not only been a supporter of Ms. Tabaku, but at various times also her #lobbyist, because I saw in her the formation, intellect, and maturity of a politician who did not represent political extremism. But time, as always, remains the fairest judge and the most accurate reflection of each person's character.

When I saw that in her status, she had stated that she was not like other politicians, then I couldn't help but tell her that in one respect she is very right.

Unfortunately, not in the way she would have liked.

Ms. Tabaku, you are different, but not because you showed more courage or integrity.

On the contrary, because at the moment when you should have taken a clear stance as a politician with a Western education and mindset, you chose to stay between the two camps, not fully joining either, but winking at one and then the other.

Although others like the illiterate #ordinary Nul Moka, Nexhmije Vokshi, Tritani of the party, Paloka of Agaç, etc., etc., openly and unequivocally positioned themselves in Berisha's trenches (which, beyond my likes and impressions of them, I appreciate for their loyal stance), you and the Gazeli group, Kol Kyç's ANALIST Padër Gonçja, the Lushnje cucumber or the sharebajka Bardeli who cried in Basha's lap on January 8, chose the path of calculation. During the day you appeared singing Tirona songs next to Basha, while at night you danced the Tropoja dance with Berisha.

A political model that may be called pragmatism by your supporters, but for the majority it is nothing more than a lack of courage, a lack of dignity to take responsibility, which in popular parlance translates as #servility.

When someone thinks that by standing in the middle they are taking the right position, they show a lack of integrity, because #integrity is not measured by published statuses or carefully written legal analyses; it is measured in the moments when you have to choose a side and take responsibility for it.

Even today, when the people have poured into the streets in all the squares of Albanian cities and in the squares of European and American capitals, as was the case yesterday in New York, you continue to follow the same model by making some parliamentary posts and publications without any weight, but you do not dare to physically go out and join the popular protest, at least as a citizen of this country.

Not because you don't understand their cause, but because you don't dare go out without first getting permission from your #master, the #hypocritical_doctor who is today labeled by protesters as responsible and guilty for this situation, just like the #autocrat bandit Edvin Rama.

A deputy elected by the citizens' vote, outside the private list of the owner of the PD company, should have been among the protesters, not waiting for the reaction of the boss, who in the morning calls the protesters patronizers and Sorosites, while in the afternoon gives them the right to their demands.

Therefore, attempts to present herself as a supporter of the protest through a few lukewarm statuses and without real commitment do not convince anyone. On the contrary, they only reinforce the perception that we are dealing with a politician who continues to avoid difficult decisions and who does not have the courage to act on the convictions she claims to have.

History does not remember those who stand in the middle of the bridge waiting to see which way the wind blows. History remembers those who take a stand, regardless of the cost. And therein lies the difference between a politician with conviction and a politician with calculation.
