AFSA publishes the 2025 annual report: SIGAL IG pays 26.02% of total insurance

According to the AFSA's 2025 annual report, for the period January-December 2025, published today, SIGAL IG in the life and non-life markets taken together paid 26.02% of claims, with 20,444 specific beneficiaries throughout the year.

In life insurance, the company pays 41.84% of claims, or 133,915,000 Lekë (approximately 1.39 million euros) out of 320,070,000 Lekë (approximately 3.31 million euros) of the total market.

In non-life insurance, SIGAL IG pays 25.38% of claims, or 2,001,800,000 Lekë (approximately 20.7 million euros) out of 7,887,627,000 Lekë (approximately 81.6 million euros) of the total market with 8 operators.

Over 22.09 million euros in damages, or respectively 2,135,715,000 Lekë, were paid by SIGAL IG throughout 2025.

In other insurances:

SIGAL IG pays 1,390,355,000 Lekë (approximately 14.38 million euros) in motor insurance claims, of which:

504,617,000 Lekë (approximately 5.22 million euros) in Green Card insurance,
95,704,000 Lekë (approximately 0.99 million euros) in border insurance,
388,169,000 Lekë (approximately 4.01 million euros) in CASCO insurance.
The company paid 41.98% of the total market claims in property insurance from natural disasters, respectively SIGAL IG paid 241,936,000 Lekë (approximately 2.50 million euros) for property damages.

SIGAL IG paid 354,864,000 Lekë, 47.87% of the total market, for accidents and health.
SIGAL IG paid 70.9% of the total market, respectively 215,150,000 Lekë for health while traveling.
SIGAL IG paid 306,959,000 Lekë, 46.52% of the market damages paid in health insurance.
Prompt payment of damages, within 14 working days from the submission of documentation, with correctness and punctuality, according to the contracts in force and legislation, remains the company's work philosophy.

The calculation of damages is done according to legislation and a clear regulation and the company has not yet received any official complaints, either at the company's offices or at the Complaints Bureau at the AFSA, regarding the manner in which the damages were handled or calculated, much less regarding the refusal to pay them.
