So why does the Democratic Party which claims to take power use all its public artillery in the attack against it? For a very simple reason, because its leader is in conflict of interest with justice. However, his personal battle is turning into the battle of the Albanian opposition. In fact, very little close to the elections, the only serious and clear political offer he has presented to the Albanians is the dismantling of SPAK. Until now, the Democratic Party has only this proposal for the Albanians that is rooted in their minds.
Only four months before the elections, Albanians find it difficult to imagine what the Albania of the Democratic Party is. If she comes to power in the next elections, how will the economy, order, health, education, or even geopolitics be. Maybe they have the program, but it still hasn't managed to penetrate the minds of Albanians. And a political offer, before rejecting or accepting it, you have to imagine it. If Edi Rama's Albania is clear in their minds, Albanians have a hard time imagining that of the Democratic Party with Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Being able to convey to the citizens your vision for Albania is a key element for the possibility of victory. And this is exactly what the Democratic Party is still not managing to do. Because all her energies are focused on fighting the law of her leader. Today, Sali Berisha is a person who develops his political activity normally, even though he is in a process. There are many cases where politicians under investigation have continued their political battle and the processes have not stopped them at all. They continued their project, their ideas for the country and did not get stuck in their individual battle with justice and did not let the party into this trap.
For example, in the US presidential elections, Americans were clear about what America they would have with Trump and what America they would have with Harris. In the end they made their choice for Trump. It is not understood whether the Democratic Party has a vision and cannot convey it to the Albanians, or whether their entire struggle is against justice and they have no other goal. But as long as we will not be able to imagine Albania in the power of the Democratic Party, it is difficult to judge whether it is the right one or not.
