This Friday in the theater "Andon Zako Ccajupi" the bequest of the director Kristaq Dhamo, that the first feature-length Albanian film, be seen among the people in the place where it was shot. "We came here for the order left by director Kristaq Dhamo, so tonight is dedicated to him. We have other plans, I can say that the road to restoration "General Gramafoni" has started, said Marinela Ndria, director of the National Film Archive.
The events take place in the 50s, where the center of the scenario is Tana, a smart girl with advanced thoughts who loves but her mentality is different from her thoughts. It was performed by the actress Tinka Kurti with Naim Frashëri by her side. This evening Kurti is present at the premiere.
"Tinka Kurti has shot in Korça for the first time, and has even often expressed that 'I am from Korça, because I have many memories,'" says Zamira Kita.
Excited, Margarita Lala, editor of the film "Tana" expressed nostalgia for the times when the film was shot in Bugarec, Korça, when she was just 16 years old.
"Today I am 84 years old and at that time I was 16 years old, I was a film editor. We shot in Bugarec, Korçë and I am happy that I was part of the team", said the editor.
Director Kristaq Dhamo passed away on August 14 of this year. A few days before his death, from the hospital bed where he was in Italy, he requested that the premiere of the first feature-length feature film bearing the authorship after the restoration be shown in Korça. The film was first shown in Tirana, near the Film Archive, while yesterday the public could also watch it in Korça, exactly where it was shot.
