Tragic accident in Kosovo, 3 dead and 5 injured, among the injured, 4 are police officers

In the village of Çubrel in Skenderaj, a traffic accident with fatal consequences has claimed the lives of three civilians and left five others injured, four of them police officers.
According to a statement from security authorities, the accident occurred at around 18:40 on the Mitrovica-Peja regional road, involving two vehicles, one of which was an official police car.
"As a result of the accident, based on the information provided, three civilians lost their lives, while five other people were injured, four of them police officers," the police statement said.
Police units and management staff immediately went to the scene to conduct the necessary investigations. Investigators from the regional road traffic unit are working to determine the causes of the accident.
The Kosovo Police Institution (KPI) and the competent Prosecutor have been notified of the case, and are expected to participate in further investigations. The investigations are ongoing.
