President Vucic plans to resign, because of Kosovo

The Serbian newspaper "Danas" writes on Saturday that the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, is planning to resign from his post, to let someone else impose sanctions on Russia and also for the dialogue with Kosovo.

Danas quotes Dragan J. Vučičević, editor-in-chief of "Informer" as saying that associates of Vučić have given him information that the president is planning to resign.

"He plans to resign to let 'someone else' impose sanctions on Russia and recognize Kosovo's independence. In a situation where the pressure on Serbia to withdraw has increased, these two movements would be so big that the state cannot support them", said Vučičević.

He has asked Vuqiç not to do this, saying that such a decision is bad for the state and national interests of Serbia.

As he said, Serbia has been the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions on Russia for 231 days, saying that this is a victory for the state.

"As long as Vucic is president, Serbia will not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation and will not recognize the fake state of Kosovo," said Vucicevich.
