Car driving at 114 km/h and under the influence of alcohol! Expertise sheds light on the accident with three victims in Durrës

The expert examination conducted for the tragic accident in Durrës, where newlywed couple Kleo Vrioni and Sara Brugentelli, as well as a 15-year-old boy, lost their lives, has revealed new data on how the collision occurred.

According to experts, the vehicle was traveling at approximately 114 km/h in the moments before the accident. While taking a turn, the driver is suspected of losing control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road.

The reconstruction of the incident shows that the front tire on the passenger side initially collided with the curb. The impact caused the vehicle to lose stability, which then overturned.

After the overturn, the car continued to crawl for about 40 meters before stopping.

The expert examination has also highlighted another important element for the investigation. Toxicological analyses have resulted positive for alcohol consumption by the driver of the vehicle.

Three people lost their lives in the tragic accident, while two others continue to receive medical treatment at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
