The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, presented the candidates for deputies in the May 11 elections in the Elbasan district.
In his speech, he said that May 11, the day when elections will be held in Albania, will be "the second day of summer."
On this day - said Berisha - the longest winter that Albanians have ever experienced will end.
"Three weeks ago I was in the blessed city of Elbasan to celebrate with you your holiday and that of all Albanians, Summer Day, the day of hope, the day of great changes.
Today I return to this city again to deliver the message that this year Elbasan and all of Albania will have a second summer day, and this will be May 11th.
May 11 will be the day of the end of the longest 12-year winter that Albanians have experienced. May 11 will be the day of the true spring of democracy for Albania and Albanians. May 11 will be the day when the rays of the sun will shine in Elbasan and throughout Albania.
