According to Berisha, justice has been used as an instrument of blackmail and political bargaining, at the expense of citizens and the opposition.
Berisha emphasized that, despite pressures, political isolation and continuous attacks, the opposition has chosen to stand on the side of justice and truth, defending pluralism and the existence of a real opposition as a fundamental condition for freedom.
"He had opened two files for our mayor. And he pulled the strings as he wanted, as he pleased. During the day he would call you to the prosecutor's office, at night he would take you to Engjëll Agaç and do the shopping at your expense."
