Former DP MP, Ervin Salianji, has responded to the DP leader, who declared today that "I am not running against Salianji because he has self-excluded himself."

In a Facebook post, Salianji writes that No one is above the DP Constitution.

"No one is above the Constitution of the Democratic Party, approved by the membership by vote! The lack of seriousness towards the many Democrats who think differently is a serious blunder. All participants in my meetings are 24-carat democrats. They deserve only respect and gratitude," Salijanj's message reads.

The Democratic Party needs clarity. The Democratic Party needs to become a winner.
It owes this to the Democrats, after 13 years of opposition. This is the expectation of all Albanians who want and expect the rotation.
The union of the Democrats and the entire opposition around it should be the most serious effort to make the Democratic Party a winner.
This goal is clearly foreseen in the statute and with responsibility in case of loss and privileges in case of victory. The Constitution of the Democrats does not even have "self-exclusions".
I will continue to represent without hindrance and despite my real concern for the Democrats! Their will for unity, for dignity and for a winning Democratic Party.
