"A big failure"/ Rama hits out at RTSH: It must be closed!

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the closure of Albanian Radio Television (RTSH).
During his speech at the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Rama called for the total closure of Albanian Television for an indefinite period, until, according to him, a total reform is achieved.
According to Rama, all options are on the table for RTSH, from closure to public partnership and privatization.
"The historical truth is that we have tried to create the conditions for public television to be reformed, but we have failed. So far, its balance sheet is a "successful failure", that is, from debt to debt, to neglect. We do not have a public television in Albania; the last time I saw it was in 1990, before the overthrow of the system. I went as an invitee, but I did not even see myself, these are the only interviews and I did not receive any messages. I told them: close it. We are not going to give a single lek from Albanian taxes, until it deserves it. Every option should be on the table, including final closure, privatization, partnership, and everything besides this one", Rama declared.
