Endri Shabani sends observers to the Adriatik Lapaj protest

The Office of the Ombudsman, an institution headed by Endri Shabani, has announced that, within the framework of exercising its constitutional mandate for the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms, it has taken measures to monitor the protest organized today by the "Albania Becomes" party. Shabani, formerly the leader of the Nisma Thurrje, was in coalition with Lapaj in the last parliamentary elections, where they received only one mandate, reports A2.

"A team of observers from the Ombudsman has been deployed in the field, while the relevant structures have been put on standby to be present, as needed, in the premises of police stations and health institutions. This engagement aims to closely monitor any subsequent action and guarantee respect for legal standards and citizens' rights," the Ombudsman's office announced.

"The Ombudsman will continue to monitor the situation and will exercise his legal powers in accordance with developments on the ground."

The protest called by "Albania Is Done" is scheduled to take place at 5:00 PM.
