Rama avoids confrontation with Vlora residents, sends Spiropali: I'll talk to the mayor

After canceling the planned visit to Vlora, the Prime Minister sent Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali to the PS bastion, which has faced a series of problems in recent months.
Spiropali met with the merchants of Vlora, who have been protesting for days against the municipality's decision to relocate them from the Industrial Market area, to pave the way for the reconstruction of this market.
During the meeting, Spiropali admitted that he had not been fully aware of the situation and promised to talk to the mayor and members of the Municipal Council to better understand the problems of the merchants.
"I will speak with the mayor and the members of the City Council to learn more specifically about your problem," she said.
Traders oppose the municipality's decision to establish two temporary markets: the fruit and vegetable market in the "24 Maji" neighborhood and the trading of other goods in the Çola industrial zone.
Meanwhile, Vlora has faced some serious problems during the recent holidays. The city was left without water for several days due to a burst pipe, and was then hit by flooding due to blocked sewers and drains, causing water to overflow onto the streets and into homes.
Also, with Lorena Goxhobello's new decision to transfer the Vlora Cadastre, citizens are forced to travel to Tirana for every property document.
