The people you see in the photo above are Elvis Ramca and Veriana Ziu , the cohabiting couple, arrested by the Police in Tirana, after being accused of fraud with fictitious apartment purchases.
According to the Police, Ramca and Ziu took considerable amounts of money from citizens, promising to buy them apartments.
After embezzling the money, the 2 citizens forged bank mandates to deceive citizens that the money had been deposited.
Then, they presented the false documents to representatives of construction companies, with the aim of concluding fictitious contracts for the sale and purchase of apartments.
According to reports, so far there have been 2 documented cases following denunciations, involving 2 apartments worth around 150 thousand euros each.
Investigators suspect that in addition to the two cases mentioned, there are others who have been deceived, for whom it is said that work is being done to uncover them.
