Forbes: Albania, one of 5 small countries supporting US attacks on Iran

According to a Forbes article, only five NATO countries, including Albania, have publicly come out in support of US and Israeli military operations against Iran, while most other members have maintained a neutral or critical stance towards the actions.

Countries that have expressed support include: Albania, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Latvia and the Czech Republic. Many of them have cited the danger of the Iranian nuclear program and destabilization in the Middle East as the main reasons for their support.

Forbes writes  that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama linked Albania's stance to previous diplomatic tensions with Iran, presenting the country as a strong US ally.

"We support the United States in its military support for Israel," Rama wrote in a post on the X network a few days ago, also condemning Iran's "cyber aggression" against Albania, which led to the severance of diplomatic relations in 2022.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, North Macedonia Foreign Minister Timčo Mucunski, and officials from Lithuania, Latvia, and the Czech Republic have also expressed support for the operation, emphasizing that the goal is to stop the Iranian nuclear program and maintain regional stability.

The article points out that most other NATO countries, including Denmark, Finland and Luxembourg, have maintained a neutral stance, while some, such as Italy and Spain, have expressed criticism of the attacks.
