Seven months after the escape, former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who is wanted by SPAK for corruption and money laundering, appeared for the first time.

It is learned that Ahmetaj lives in one of the richest neighborhoods in Zurich, Switzerland, together with his roommate, Eriola Hoxha, and the daughter he has with the latter.
Ahmetaj owns a villa worth over 1 million euros, in the name of a well-known businessman.
Ahmetaj, known as the "Tiger of corruption", escaped on July 7, 2023 from the customs point of Kakavija as soon as he learned that SPAK had asked the Assembly for authorization for his arrest.
To mislead the police, Ahmetaj cut a plane ticket from Rinas to Italy and took one of the phones to Canada.
A few days ago, SPAK head Altin Dumani said that SPAK is investigating Arben Ahmetaj's activities every day.
SPAK is investigating the role of some of Ahmetaj's business associates, who were implicated in the first SPAK file on Ahmetaj, in money laundering and corruption episodes.
