Vučić fears the Kosovo-Albania-Croatia alliance, complains to the EU

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić recently held a meeting with the European Union Special Representative, Peter Sorensen, on the recently held dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

In a post on the Internet, Vučić highlighted the challenges faced by Serbian citizens in Kosovo.
The Serbian president expressed his concerns about the Law on Foreigners and the Law on Vehicles that will enter into force in Kosovo on 15.03.2026. According to Vučić, these decisions are escalating and deeply discriminatory.

Among other things, Vučić stressed that by joining Kosovo in the regional military alliance, tensions will further increase and the "security" of Serbian citizens will be threatened, referring to the cooperation of Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia in the field of defense.

"I emphasized the necessity to take concrete steps towards the formation of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, for which the Serbian people have been waiting for 13 years," the Serbian president's post published on Instagram reads.

We recall that on 23.02.2026, Sorensen was also on a visit to Kosovo, during which he met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Glauk Konjufca. During these meetings, the dialogue with Serbia and developments in the country were discussed.
