Blockage of the Librazhd-Prrenjas road/ Dialysis patient: I have to go to the hospital every two days

The collapse of the Librazhd-Prrenjas axis has left dozens of villages in the area isolated from the cities for days, creating a difficult situation for residents who feel abandoned and without any solution.
The main road remains impassable, while movement has become a daily challenge.
The only alternative for residents is the old Egnatia road, built about 2,000 years ago, which today has become a "salvation" for vehicle traffic from Tirana to Korça and vice versa.
For Syri TV, some of the residents say that it is the first time in their lives that they are forced to use this narrow and depreciated segment, due to the lack of another solution.
The situation becomes even more dramatic for families with sick people. A citizen says that she suffers from serious health problems and has to undergo dialysis in Elbasan every two days, but the lack of a functional road and an ambulance has prevented her from regularly attending treatment.
"I have to do dialysis in Elbasan one day and one day not," she says.
Other residents emphasize that in cases of emergency, it is almost impossible for them to transport family members to the hospital.
"The situation is very bad, we don't know what to do. My wife got sick last night and we barely made it," says another resident.
The isolation of the area is increasingly burdening the life of the community, while residents are demanding immediate intervention to restore access and guarantee basic vital services.
