Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço spoke about the cyberattack on SPAK prosecutors' emails that occurred on March 12.
Two people have been arrested for this incident, Arnold Rrokaj, suspected of carrying out the intervention, and Zambak Gjoni, suspected of distributing stolen information, but according to Karamuço, these are not the only people involved in the crime.
"Investigative files have been obtained, information and reports of some investigations that are still unknown to the public, that there are still subjects that we do not know are under investigation and this has made the prosecution and its call for these to be kept secret even more reserved, because there is a risk that the people under investigation will escape. On the other hand, these two people who have been arrested are not alone. They did not even have any great hacking skills, they have average knowledge of this, so this makes you suspect that there are other people who know more. These are executors, but who is directing them. SPAK must have the courage to reveal it. But some preliminary and still unconfirmed information says that the traces go all the way to the Albanian Parliament. Politicians are directly or indirectly involved. Meanwhile, the motive is not yet known, it could be for blackmail, to shift attention, there are many reasons that SPAK should investigate", - Karamuço told Euronews Albania.
