Lapaj: Rama does not leave with Molotov cocktails, but with civic unity

Adriatik Lapaj, in a live broadcast on the "Afternoon Diary" show on A2 CNN, commenting on last night's PD protest, stated that the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama from power cannot be achieved through violent acts, but only through sustained resistance and civic unity.
Lapaj said that the protests he launched about two weeks ago have brought increased civic and political engagement, returning the issue of corruption and misgovernance to the center of public debate.
According to him, the protests started with a small number of citizens, but gradually expanded, culminating in a protest where, according to him, around 2,000 people participated.
" When 16 days ago I started with a chair to go out here to the Prime Minister's Office, you are witnesses that there was no protest in the city, even though the country was witnessing one of the most barbaric thefts imaginable. In these past 16 days, the intensity of all political groups, but also social groups in organizing civic activities in the face of theft has increased.
The public debate has intensified and the reaction to this issue has become the center of attention. I think that now all the focus and public attention is directed where it should be and the pressure should now increase. Which means that if it started with one person who came out here to express his revolt and his disagreement and then others joined for the reasons that they think the situation is not normal in Albania and different wills have come together, it was possible to increase the number of those who stay here 24 hours a day and those who protest, and on Saturday we had the first large protest called, where about 2,000 citizens participated and I think that in the coming days the intensity of the protest will increase even more and we will certainly very soon publish the next date of the second protest, which we believe will be more massive and there is room for different civic, but also political, groups to reflect and unite here in the square for a common goal , "said Lapaj.
